Naoko Ota

Naoko is the Chief Financial Officer at Moon, overseeing all financial strategy and operations across the Palo Alto and Tokyo studios. Originally from Osaka, she began her professional journey after graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University, and her time at Sun Microsystems first introduced her to the exciting world of Silicon Valley. Since moving to the Bay Area in 2002, she has built a cross-border career spanning a Big 4 firm and startups, with deep expertise in corporate finance and M&A. She holds an LL.M. in Taxation from Golden Gate University School of Law and calls the SF Bay Area her second home. 

When she’s not crunching numbers, Naoko enjoys golf, running, and exploring new places around the world.
