Tetsuya Koide is a Managing Officer and Deputy Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Americas Business Unit at Mitsui & Co. He concurrently serves as Western States Regional Officer (WSRO) and Regional Officer of Silicon Valley Office at Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc. As a Moon committee member, he is responsible for determining Moon's business strategy and operational policies, as well as selecting entrepreneurs. He joined Mitsui & Co. in April 1992, beginning his career at the Osaka Office. Subsequently, he held positions including DOO of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Business Unit (concurrently Senior Vice President & General Manager of Mitsui & Co. Europe PLC) and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of the Americas Business Unit (concurrently Senior Vice President & CSO of Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc.). He was appointed Managing Officer in April 2024. His hobbies include watching football (soccer) – he checks almost every Manchester United match – and watching martial arts. Recently, he has also become fascinated by medieval religious paintings.
